The mission of the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center is to enhance the quality of life of Pleasanton residents and its surrounding communities by delivering a range of high-quality aquatic programs and activities that promote fitness, education, competition, and safety. The Dolores Bengtson (City of Pleasanton) Aquatic Center offers recreational, competitive, fitness, educational, and safety aquatics programs. The Aquatic Center is opened year-round, with summer programs being the busiest and most active. Patron health and safety and customer service are highest priorities at the Aquatic Center. Programs offered at the Aquatic Center include: lap swimming, water exercise classes, adult/teen swim lessons, competitive stroke classes, summer recreation swim team, and American Red Cross classes including: Parent and Child, Learn to Swim (Preschool and Levels 1 - 6), Longfellow's Swim Camp, Junior Guard, Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instructor, and Basic Water Rescue classes.
