News Category: Traffic and Roads
In a recent article in Pleasanton Weekly, the Pleasanton City Council and the Pleasanton Police Department have decided to issue new traffic regulations in accordance to concerns in several communities:
1. Residents and motorists of the Preserve community in northwestern Pleasanton will no longer be able to drive into Laurel Creek Dr. from Dublin Canyon Rd. citing neighborhood complaints. Motorists will be required to take Dublin Canyon Rd. to Foothill Rd. and double around at Stoneridge Dr.
2. Residents of the Pleasanton Hills neighborhood may no longer use Puerto Vallerta Rd. to access Sunol Blvd. Citing traffic concerns from Pleasanton Middle School and Hearst Elementary School, motorists will be required to use Bernal and Valley Aves. instead.
3. Residents of Carriage Gardens and Castlewood Heights near the Sunol/I-680 interchange may no longer use Riddle St. as a cutthrough to get to 680. Motorists will be required to double around at Happy Valley Rd.
4. Residents of the Pleasanton Valley community at Gatetree Circle near Amador Valley High School will no longer be allowed to drop off their students in that neighborhood due to concerns from residents of noise and traffic. Students and parents will be required to use Del Valle Pkwy. and Santa Rita Rd. instead.
