Kobe Bryant Commemorated

What would constitute a legend? A legend is a person who has left an unforgettable mark on his respective field, in life and in death. A legend is someone who has changed peoples’ lives for the better by way of lending the whole world inspiration and a prime example to follow.
Kobe Bryant, a stellar NBA star in his day and age, taught the general public what true determination is and was the perfect embodiment of a legend in every sense of the word. He is a true testament to the versatility of an individual, since he excelled at every task he set his mind to, on and off the basketball court. His personal contributions were also profound due to his clear involvement in cultivating his daughter Gianna to become a player who definitely could’ve shaped the future of the women’s NBA. Sadly, both of these precious lives were lost Sunday, January 26th of 2020, along with the seven others in the helicopter crash that fateful day.
Mr. Bryant’s life and outstanding achievements are more than deserving of being remembered. It is with this purpose in mind that a Pleasanton company by the name of New Ground Technology has created a giant 115 feet by 92 feet grass mural depicting Kobe’s face last week at a local park. In the span of a mere hour, his legacy and life have been honored momentarily.
All in all, we must never forget how abrupt life can be and appreciate every waking moment spent around those we love as well as doing what we love. It is equally important to never forget the name of Kobe Bryant, whose life tragically ended after gracing this Earth with his presence for only forty one years, and Gianna Bryant for a mere thirteen. Let his and the victims’ names resonate in the hallowed halls of history for eons of time to come so that mankind in the future can comprehend the definition of true greatness and the misfortune of the profound talent the world undoubtedly lost that day.
