preview-full-FoothillGame
The week has come. Foothill battles Amador in its most anticipated game of the season. Foothill hopes to bring their spirit in full force, as this is the last league game of the season. The core of this spirit are members of the Foothill Blue Crew and all the students in the “nest.” The nest is ready with their signature chants like “O’ FHS,” the “dirty bird,” and many more.
One of the most spirited members of the Blue Crew (the chant leaders for Foothill fans), Julian Singh emphasized that “people should go to the Amador game because it is a showcase of raw talent and rivalry”, going on to say that the energy at rivalry games is insane,” even joking that “if you expect to go home with your voice, you’re wrong.” Julian really hits the nail on the head. There’s nothing like a rivalry game – spirits are high, nervousness is settling in, and bragging rights are at stake.
Julian even said that his favorite part of the nest is “seeing everyone flocked out,” saying that it is “an incredibly unique sight that rarely shows.” He says that “some of [his] favorite high school memories are throwing shirts into a crowd of screaming falcons and storming Amador’s field after the dub”. “The nest,” he says, “is a place where students from any group can come together and cheer on our team regardless of differences, it truly is an amazing thing.” He left me with stressing that he has “full confidence in our boys [getting] this bread and [storming] In-n-Out bleeding blue.” I think Julian’s thoughts say it all. Come to this game for a good time. Come for the rivalry. Come for the Foothill win.
