The beginning of a new school year marks the arrival of Pigskin for Amador students and Falcon Fest for Foothill students. This exciting annual event is a wonderful way to get in the spirit for the new school year and have fun!
An old tradition for Pleasanton high school students, Pigskin and Falcon Fest are events where all of the clubs organize booths to sell school spirit wear, gather donations, and raise awareness about the club itself. Students use this event as a way to raise funds for their clubs. Since most of the school attends the event, selling food or drinks can be quite profitable for the club. This event is one of the most anticipated events of the year, as it marks the start of a new school year, new opportunities, and a chance for new students to become acquainted with the atmosphere of their school.
Amador’s Pigskin, which took place last Friday, featured exciting booths from clubs such as Investment Club, DECA, Bollywood Club, Competitive Computer Science Club, Red Cross Club, UNICEF, Neuroscience Club, Liberty in North Korea, Engineering club, Choir Club, GirlUp, Fashion Club, Ukulele Club, AV Sports teams, and more!
Foothill’s Falcon Fest will be taking place DECA, National Honor Society, Computer Science Club, Chinese Club, Caya Club, California Scholarship Federation, Free the Children Club, FISH Club, and Leadership amongst others. All of the clubs will be selling food and merchandise and collecting donations. People of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend this fun event! Attendees are encouraged to deck out in Foothill gear for Falcon Fest. We look forward to seeing you there!
Falcon Fest will be held Friday September 22 at Foothill High School from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM.
