Who-ville is in trouble, again

The newest movie – The Grinch is in theaters right now. Many of us have seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas in 2000, so we have high expectations and wonder if this will merely be a repeat, or better.

Looking at the trailer, we can see detailed graphics and vivid colors, making the film very inviting to watch and much more advanced than the previous movie. The plot of this movie is that the Grinch and his dog are aggravated when their neighbors in Whoville decide to make Christmas brighter and larger, so they pose as Santa Claus to end their joyous celebration. As promising as that sounds, with Rotten Tomatoes’ review of 58% and Metacritic’s of 51% we can definitely infer that this film is not a box-topper. Additionally, reviews do indicate that the movie is not as memorable as the original film and a bit of a disappointment for the audience.

On the bright side, the singing, dancing, and bright colors will quickly get you in the Christmas spirit. To add to that, it is narrated by the rapper Pharrell WIlliams! Show times
