016 Halloween Contest Winners

This October, we held three Halloween contests: the Costume Quest, Eerie Arts and Creepy Crafts Contest, and the Three-Sentence Thriller.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Halloween contests this year! We got so many creative entries and enjoyed looking through all the submissions.

Costume Quest Contest Winner – Joanne Houston

Joanne dressed up as the Mad Hatter for Halloween. She did the makeup herself and collected the different clothing items from around the house.

2. Eerie Arts and Creepy Crafts Contest Winner – Lilli Juan

Lilli has wanted to create the pumpkin snowman ever since she saw a picture of it in a storybook she read with her mom.

The Vampire Butterfly

It was a dark and scary night when the mummies of Pleasanton were playing volleyball in front of the Museum on Main. Out of the bushes a vampire butterfly flew right into their game just wanting to play. The mummies were so frightened they ran and ran all the way home, leaving a trail of “wrap” behind them.

I grabbed my phone, desperate to check on my social media, but the screen was blank, except for a frowning face and the words: Please connect to WiFi to proceed to the internet. But… I was at home, and the Wifi was connected​​​, and… Oh no.​ I dropped my phone​​ ​out of pure and utter horror: The Wifi was down.
