We hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season! And now to announce the winners of the Pleasanton Grinch contest.
As a reminder, the story beginning we presented was:
Everyone who lived in Pleasanton loved the holiday season! Except for the Grinch, who hated it for some reason.
People would buy gifts, celebrate, and donate to the needy, but the Grinch wanted all the presents for himself. He was that greedy!
Luckily, the creative citizens of Pleasanton came up with a plan, to show the Grinch that it’s easy to celebrate — everyone can!
They…
Your task was to finish our story in five sentences or less. We were blown away by the creativity of all the entries!
But in the end we could only choose two winners, so without further ado, the winners of the Pleasanton Grinch Contest are:
Andrew Brubeck and Aneesh Nattuva
Here is how Andrew finished the story:
They gave him clothes, big, medium and small, but the Grinch was angry; he couldn’t fit them all.
Second, they gave him a Christmas wreath, but he thought it was food and it got stuck in his teeth.
Third, they gave him a massive feast, but the Grinch had the manners of an unkempt beast.
Then the Grinch got a hug, and then he did learn, that you can’t get a hug without giving one in return.
Knowing that his elation was Christmas cheer, he gave back the gifts to the people near.
Here is how Aneesh finished the story:
They dumped all their presents at his house as if he won a lottery, then they went home to join a midnight party.
As the Grinch opened his dented door, the presents flooded his house making him sore.
He ripped up the cards and took all the money. He opened a present and found a ferocious bunny!
After the bunny bounced around, making the presents tumble to the ground, he hopped onto the Grinch’s lap, where he took a long nap.
The Grinch soon realized to give not take, All this mess was all his mistake!
Congratulations again to Andrew and Aneesh!
Thank you to everyone who sent in an entry and we hope you participate in the next PtownLife contest, which will be posted soon.
