Contributing to Ptownlife
We invite you to be a part of the ptownlife community and contribute! Registered members can submit articles to the News page or upload photos at anytime. We’d love to see pictures of youth and families at our parks or events or just enjoying life in Pleasanton. If you have questions about how to contribute or just want to send us your work, please contact us.
Student Web Team
PTOWNLIFE WEB TEAM
Thank you for your interest in the Ptownlife Web Team. Ptownlife.org is a community website dedicated to youth and families. It features youth news, Calendar of Events, community organizations and businesses serving youth, job opportunities, and more.
Along with City Staff, the Web Team will take on the overall maintenance and continual improvement of the website. Students will get experience working on a website, writing and editing content, and helping with the overall management and marketing of ptownlife.org.
Eligibility
Students must be entering 8th-12th grades in the Fall 2017 to apply.
Commitment
Interested students must be able to commit to:
- 1 – year term (Aug 2017 – Aug 2018) to ensure consistency with the website.
- 1.5 hours per week working on the website in our office.
- 2 mandatory trainings – August 2017 & January 2018 (dates TBD)
Please be sure you can commit to the above requirements before you apply!
Application Procedure
Web Team Application 2017 – Fill out application and submit a work sample to Gingerbread Preschool or to info@ptownlife.org
Application Deadline: Friday, May 5
There is limited space for this program and you must be a Pleasanton resident to apply.
All applications will be reviewed and qualified participants will be contacted for interviews within 1-2 weeks of application deadline.
